If meditation doesn’t resonate, let’s re-phrase. Quiet time, prayer time, brain break, mindfulness moment, nature walk… Pick any word that fits. It doesn’t have to be sitting, or laying down, or any particular pose. It can be a walk, or we can lock ourselves in a closet. This is a judgement free zone. Let’s make an effort to carve out time. Wake up 30 minutes earlier? Stay up 30 minutes later? Play music, listen to nothing, listen to someone leading.
We don’t have to blow up every time we are angry. But it is on that edge between impulse and acceptable behavior where most of our troubles begin. The more intense the input from the sensory emotional brain, the less capacity the rational brain has to put a damper on it.”
Bessel Van Der Kolk
Can we let go? Shake the hands out. Let the shoulders drop from the ears. We allow ourselves to be here. No one can make us feel less-than if we don’t allow it. Today we can choose again. Release the stress from yesterday. Align with us in today’s possibilities. Choose again. Choose positivity. Bravery. Fire. What is the best life possible right now? C’mon a day dream can’t hurt us. Make it big. Could we be thought leaders? CEOs? What is the ultimate dream, perfect for us?
If we would like, we can be brave. We can bare our souls. Vulnerability starts here and now. Let us imagine our good friend. She dreams of being an author, a coach, a mentor, a confidant. She is unique though, forming a community of women forging ahead into the courageous unknown. She has a company made up of friends. A coaching business that aims to give confidence, careers, courage and extraordinary support to those who could use it. She gives motivational speeches and has a following that shines a bright path.
Now, she isn’t there yet. But the point is to encourage her to act, think, and speak as if she is. We have to believe it, to see it. Truly, deeply, vibratingly believe it. Take time to comment below, describe the absolute best life, and let’s support each other’s dream-selves.

[…] See this post for whatever we want to call a pause – but we have to do it everyday which is seemingly impossible but also either have a panic attack or do 10 minute breaks sitting on the toilet just figure it out https://www.workingwomenwant.com/2022/09/17/quiet-moments/ […]
